I attended the photobook show at the Power Plant Gallery over in Durham last Thursday night. It was amazing!! Such a variety of books by different artists. I was like a kid in a candy store - not knowing what flavor to try first.
I've been working on my own book for months now, and I'm pleased to announce that I have finally finished it. I wanted to share a few excerpts from the book with you, so I made a short video. This is just an electronic preview but I have sent the files to the printer and I expect to have a actual book in my hands in a week or two. :-)
Excerpts from my book
After six years of intensely (and almost solely) working on the film, I have decided to start exhibiting my still photos once again. I'll be showing two photos from the Playing Soldier Project at the Pixel and Grain photography show. The reception will be Friday, October 17th from 5pm to 7pm at the DAC in Durham N.C. and will be on show until November 1st. Feels good to get some work "out there" where people can see it.
On a side note, I'll be sending out pix for the upcoming photobook in the next few days. I hope to have a completed book in my hand in the next couple of weeks. Pix to follow...
