Filming has officially wrapped for the movie and I'm now in post-production. These days I'm working on sound and talking with post-production labs. That needs to get done but I'm craving the experience of making images. Whether I use a camera or a paintbrush makes no difference...I need something.
Years ago, I saw photos of vintage painted backdrops and fell in love with the idea. I'm finally putting those ideas into action. I'm actually not charging anybody. Reenactors only.
Only one non-reenactor has ever received the privilege of being photographed. He was a good sport and played along. He will be the last event goer to be photographed in this setting.
The bombed-out-buildings backdrop was the first of several that I am making. I debuted it last weekend at Virginia Beach Airshow. Below is my second backdrop and newest addition. Pix are forthcoming.
I have some vague ideas about making a book with the images. My wife Heather, a librarian, wants to edit one. That suits me fine since she's a good editor ...and I get to make more photos. :-)
To be continued...
